It is a grave incident that the UN Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict, Virginia Gamba, has met virtually with Ferhat Abdi Şahin, the ringleader of the so-called “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF), dominated by the PKK/PYD/YPG terrorist organization as well as other members of the same terrorist organization.

The necessary demarches have been immediately made to the UN authorities following this incident.

This attitude constitutes a clear contravention of the UN resolutions. It damages the credibility of the UN in the fight against terrorism.

The way to prevent the most grave crimes against humanity from sexual harassment to forced detention committed against children by the terrorist organization PKK/PYD/YPG is to implement counter-terrorism measures in a sincere and an effective manner, without discriminating between terrorist organizations.
