H.E. Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, will pay an official visit to Latvia on 16 May 2019, upon the invitation of H.E. Mr. Edgars Rinkēvičs, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia.

During his visit, Minister Çavuşoğlu will be received by H.E. Mr. Raimonds Vējonis, President of the Republic of Latvia, H.E. Mrs. Ināra Mūrniece, Speaker of the Latvian Parliament, and H.E. Dr. Artis Pabriks, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Republic of Latvia, and will hold talks with his Latvian counterpart H.E. Mr. Rinkēvičs.

At the meetings, all aspects of Turkish-Latvian bilateral relations and further cooperation opportunities between the two countries will be discussed. Cooperation within NATO and Turkey’s membership process to the EU as well as regional and international issues will be on the agenda of the talks.
