H.E. Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, will pay an official visit to Malta on 21 and 22 December 2018 upon the invitation of the Hon. Mr. Carmelo Abela, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion of the Republic of Malta.

During the meetings with his Maltese counterpart, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu will discuss Turkish-Maltese bilateral relations, as well as issues regarding the EU and the EU accession process of Turkey, common challenges and cooperation opportunities in the Mediterranean basin and current regional and international issues.

On the occasion of the visit, Minister Çavuşoğlu will be received by H.E. Ms. Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, President of the Republic of Malta, and meet with the Hon. Ms. Helena Dalli, Minister for European Affairs and Equality of the Republic of Malta as well.

Minister Çavuşoğlu will also be accompanied by a group of Turkish businesspeople, who are interested in different business sectors of Malta, where they will have the opportunity to hold talks with their Maltese counterparts.
