The first round of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the Republic of Turkey and the State of Qatar and the Senior Officials Meeting in preparation for the Fourth Meeting of the Supreme Strategic Committee between the Republic of Turkey and the State of Qatar is going to be held concurrently under the co-chairmanship of Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey H.E. Ambassador Sedat Önal and Secretary General of Foreign Ministry of the State of Qatar H.E. Dr. Ahmad bin Hassan Al Hammadi in Ankara on 4 October 2018.

In the meetings all aspects of bilateral relations between Turkey and Qatar will be discussed and preparations for the Fourth Meeting of the Supreme Strategic Committee, which is planned to be convened in Turkey under the co-chairmanship of President of the Republic of Turkey H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Emir of the State of Qatar H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, will be reviewed. The meetings will also allow the two sides to exchange views on current regional issues.
