We condemn the bomb attacks against Turkmen populated neighborhoods of Kirkuk late evening yesterday (July 18, 2018). We wish quick recovery to the many wounded Turkmen fellows.

In view of these recently increased attacks targeting particularly the Iraqi Turkmen, we stress our utmost sensitivity about the safety and security of our Turkmen fellows, who constitute a safeguard for the territorial integrity of Iraq.

We call upon the Government of Iraq to take necessary security measures and to deny internal and external groups aiming to destabilize Iraq by creating a new fait accompli in Kirkuk.
