At the meeting held today with the Ambassador of Iran in Ankara at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we strongly condemned that some press organs affiliated with the Iranian authorities published news connecting the recent visit of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Saudi Arabia with the executions occurred in this country after the visit, and directly targeting our President. We demanded that such news aiming to create a negative impression about President Erdoğan among the neighbouring Iranian people to be ceased immediately.

We also reiterated to the Ambassador that the inviolability of foreign diplomatic missions are under the responsibility and guarantee of the host country. Therefore, attacks targeting the Embassy of Saudi Embassy in Tehran and its Consulate General in Mashhad are unacceptable and inexplicable by any means.
